The Vinet family have farmed their vineyards since 1948, focusing solely on the melon de bourgogne grape. The eponymous cuvée comes from an old vineyard composed of micaschist, gneiss and amphibolite with all fermentation and elevage taking place in glass-lined underground tanks to retain freshness and purity.
Their holdings also include a 0.7 hectare clos in the Cru Communal of La Haye-Fouassière made up of amphibolite and serpentinites, which they elevate
on lees for 24 months followed by extended bottle ageing before release.
